We had released the 涅槃NEHAN from 2007 to 2010. At this time, we decided to reproduction of this model. As you know that is designed by Koji Hara. He is also very famous custom knife maker in the world. Almost a design is the same compared to the original model. However, all structures are totally difference. Consequently, new 涅槃NEHAN is more high-completed than original one. Also, this is the highest quality folding knife with Rockstead's expertise clutivated through knife production.
This is button lock system, which is very safe mechanism which is used in the 秀SHU and 良RYO model.
We use two kind of different handle materials. 涅槃NEHAN(MB) is "Artificial Marble", which is used high-end kitchen counter also, it looks very gorgeous.
涅槃NEHAN(ER) is the "Ebonite", which is used high-end fountain pen also, this is very popular in the fountain pen collector.
These materials are bond with titanium plate, and then these are manufacturing. This design was imaged by folds of a Japanese Kimono, whilst the thumb stud was designed in the shape of a flower. These heterogeneous materials SIMULTANEOUS PRECISION FINISHING are accumulated technologies by 鈍 DON"s handle manufacturing process.
These external design features are by no means the only elements that reflect the love of detail and the pursuit of perfection, however. The real innovation of the 涅槃 NEHAN is hidden within it and consists of the way in which the two halves of the handle are joined together. This construction was developed by ROCKSTEAD and means no externally visible screws are required as these are contained entirely within the handle. Hence nothing can affect the harmony of the external image. Also new is the design of the knife sheath. Whilst the first version of the 涅槃 NEHAN still incorporated a belt loop, the new one has a practical belt clip. The "NEHAN" was designed as a gentleman's knife and is manufactured exclusively using ZDP189 blade steel. The unique ROCKSTEAD mirror polish and the HONZUKURI blade geometry for maximum performance are a matter of course for this model.
